Red Necks, KKK, White Aryan Resistance, Imperial Wizard, Imperial Klans of America and Barack Obama

What if a black man ran for President of the United States and had more than a 50/50 chance of winning? What if a black man received support from white supremacists? Check out the article in Esquire Magazine on Why White Supremacists Support Barack Obama by David Peisner. It's a pretty interesting article. I wonder if Bill Clinton is under one of those Klan hoods?

If recent polls are to be believed, white voters favor John McCain over Barack Obama by nearly ten percentage points, but the McCain and Obama camps probably haven’t factored in the following fact: In an informal Esquire survey, three out of four white supremacists prefer Obama, while McCain is the clear favorite among black nationalists. (Sure, our methodology suffered from an extraordinarily low sample size -- limited to four white supremacists and one black nationalist -- but just because it wouldn’t fly with Gallup doesn’t mean there ain't a kernel of truth in there.) This is just one of many surprising views that emerged after we talked to extremists about this historic electoral showdown between a 46-year-old black man and a 71-year-old white man. More HERE

Why Black People Confuse Me... sometimes

My wife and I recently drove up to a 7/11 to get some coffee, I'm one of those cheap guys who does not buy coffee at StarBucks at $3.00 a cup. As we drove up a black kid was on his bile yelling at some other kids, saying nigger this and nigger that.

The kid kind of piss me off, and I commented to the youngster that he needed to chill out with all that negative talk. surprisingly he was respectful when I spoke, but the bottom line is the situation is not new in black communities across America. At this age in life I still ponder why so many black Americans call each other out of their name. I still wonder why some black folks refuse to demand more of ourselves and
those who would ask for our vote. I still wonder why? Do you know why? If so Let me know?

Candidly I'm so tired of hearing black kids use the "N WORD" on the streets of America.

How about you?

Tim Russert A Class Act Journalist Died Today

RIP Tim Russert 1950-2008

I respected him as a journalist who covered American politics in a honest and special way. Tim Russert, whose 17 years as moderator of NBC's “Meet the Press” died suddenly on Friday. He was 58 and, not surprisingly, at work -- recording voiceovers for Sunday's broadcast -- when he collapsed of a heart attack. Russert, was a onetime aide to Sen. Daniel Patrick Moynihan and Gov. Mario Cuomo, he made the switch from politics to news in 1984. He began on the international beat for NBC, landing a prized interview with Pope John Paul II in 1985. In 1991 he became Washington bureau chief and moderator of “Meet the Press.”

Tim Russert was a class act. He will be missed.

Election 08, Obama VP Pick

Hey Senator Obama, you can't have too many false starts or Bad Days like this one. As reported in The Washington Post by James A. Johnson.

art.obama.gi.jpg

Sen. Barack Obama has a broad spectrum of candidates as potential running mates.

WaPo reports that a consummate Washington insider and former Fannie Mae chief executive, resigned yesterday from Sen. Barack Obama's vice presidential search committee, just four days after he was caught up in controversy over low-interest home loans and lucrative business deals. More HER

Obama announced that Johnson would head the selection team shortly after the senator from Illinois claimed the delegates needed to secure the Democratic nomination, but he had spent much of the week since then defending Johnson's role as leader of the vetting of potential running mates. Yesterday, Johnson became a casualty in the back-and-forth over ties to special interests in the presidential campaign as Obama cut him loose.

"Jim did not want to distract in any way from the very important task of gathering information about my vice presidential nominee, so he has made a decision to step aside that I accept," Obama said in a statement. "I remain grateful to Jim for his service and his efforts in this process."

AAPP: I wonder if Barack Obama's team believes Hillary can mend fences with black folks. Let's see how it plays out, as you can see from the Black Enterprise article, this "swing voter" is not a Hilary type of guy. But it looks like Barack may be looking at a number of Hillary backers. I think it would be wise for Obama to select a military leader for vice president.

GOP Attacks Michelle Obama

Barack and Michelle Obama

Carrie Buddoff Brown at Politico.Com is reporting on how Democrats expect a concerted effort to cast Michelle Obama — and, by extension, Barack Obama — as an unpatriotic radical. She reports, "It’s less than a week into the general election campaign, but already Michelle Obama is a Republican target.

Former Secretary of State Lawrence Eagleburger leveled the first blow, introducing Republican John McCain’s wife at a fundraiser this week as someone who is “proud of her country, not just once but always.” Obama wasn’t mentioned by name, but the audience got it.

The dig signaled the start of what Democrats expect will be a concerted effort to cast Michelle Obama — and, by extension, Barack Obama — as an unpatriotic radical. It also pointed out the urgency to define Michelle Obama to general election voters before the opposition goes too far in doing it for her, strategists said." More HERE

Democratic National Convention Blogger Pool Still Segregated

AAPP says: "Hat Tip to Karen Brooks at The Dallas Morning News for following the lack of presence of black bloggers at the Democratic National Convention. She is following the story of how 55 blogs were credentialed to cover the convention in Denver as part of the "State Blogger Corps" and only a handful of them could be identified as minority blogs or having minority writers."

I'm one of the credentialed bloggers, and I have received dozens of email letters of support. I have also received dozens of emails saying the DNC needs to intergrate its state blogger pool.

Lilly White State Blogger Pool

AUSTIN – Minority blogs that felt spurned by the Democratic National Committee got some vindication recently when they were added to the list of blogs invited by party officials to cover their convention in August – but some still say the white blogs got preferential treatment and will get better access.

Members of the "AfroSpear" web network, a circle of African-American run blogs, cried foul last month when 55 blogs were credentialed to cover the convention in Denver as part of the "State Blogger Corps" and only a handful of them could be identified as minority blogs or having minority writers. Can Obama and Clinton supporters make nice?

By Tamara E. Holmes

June 12, 2008 -- With the primary season over, presumptive Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Barack Obama has his eyes on defeating the Republican candidate Sen. John McCain. But some political watchers say McCain may stand to benefit if Obama and his former rival Sen. Hillary Clinton don’t take steps to mend fences with each other and with their prospective supporters—a move that may be easier said than done.

“It doesn’t matter what the Republicans do if Obama can’t get all of the Democrats behind him,” says Marvin King, an assistant professor of political science at the University of Mississippi. “You’ve got to take care of home first.”

That notion was underscored this week when a CNN/Opinion Research Corp. poll found that if Obama does not choose Clinton to be his running mate, 22% of Clinton supporters said they would not vote in November and another 17% said they would vote for McCain. Likewise, a Website called Ex-Hillary Clinton Supporters for John McCain (http://hcsfjm.com), bills itself as an anti-Obama site and is calling for Democrats to raise money and support McCain.

On the other side of the equation are the Obama supporters, many of whom are just as vehemently opposed to the thought of Obama selecting Clinton to be his vice presidential candidate. More HERE

Impeachment of the President?

Rep. Dennis Kucinich, D-Ohio, has prepared 35 articles of impeachment against President Bush.

AAPP: It's too bad the Congressional Black Caucus did not prepare the articles over three years ago. Is Dennis showing more political sense than the CBC, or is it a moot issue?

As reported by USA today: The perennial presidential candidate's complaint includes allegations that Bush misled the nation about the threat from Iraq and Saddam Hussein's ties to the 9/11 attacks. It also accuses his administration of endangering 9/11 first responders and misleading the public about climate change.

Here's an excerpt:

Resolved, That President George W. Bush be impeached for high crimes and misdemeanors, and that the following articles of impeachment be exhibited to the United States Senate: Articles of impeachment exhibited by the House of Representatives of the United States of America in the name of itself and of the people of the United States of America, in maintenance and support of its impeachment against President George W. Bush for high crimes and misdemeanors. In his conduct while President of the United States, George W. Bush, in violation of his constitutional oath to faithfully execute the office of President of the United States and, to the best of his ability, preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States, and in violation of his constitutional duty to take care that the laws be faithfully executed, has committed the following abuses of power.

Last year, Kucinich offered a similar resolution seeking the removal of Vice President Cheney.

Poll Shows Obama Beating McCain

According to a new Gallup Poll, Barack Obama is now leading John McCain by 6 percentage points, the largest margin to date.

According to a new Gallup Poll, Barack Obama is now leading John McCain by 6 percentage points, the largest margin to date.Obama leads 48% versus 42% against McCain. Gallup reports that the Illinois senator's lead has held steady at five to seven percentage points since effectively claiming his party's nomination.

Obama's recent lead over McCain represents the Illinois senator's best showing against his new rival. Obama and McCain have mostly been polling at a statistical dead heat against one another in the Gallup tracking poll's general election match-ups.

Obama & the New World Order by Rev. C. Solomon

Source Hat Tip: Faith in Action

Sen. Barack Obama

Obama and the New World Order
by Rev. C. Solomon

I have been discoursing with purported members of Senator Obama’s political inner-circle. These individuals cannot see any conflict between Tavis Smiley’s outrage given that Senator Obama attended and spoke so gallantly (to defend Israel) at this Jewish conference, when on the other hand he snubbed the State of the Black Union Conference.

Many black Americans do not see a conflict between Obama’s politics as usual and his pledge to continue America’s venal and unbalanced support of Israel in deference to balancing the scales between Israel, Hamas, Hezbollah…! Some Americans have been duped into believing that Obama is simply playing possum, but once he gets elected Superman with his unfurled cape streaming in the wind is going to spring into action.

Folks, in my opinion, the reason that the USA is having so much turmoil and trouble with respect to Middle-Eastern and Near-Eastern nations, among other things, is its unfair and unbalanced support towards Israel against not only Hamas and Hezbollah but against other nations within close proximity like Syria, Iran…, and other nations that are at a greater distance!

America has pledged to destroy itself and its standing in the world right along with its 51st state, Israel. And even though American Christians have biblically inspired and romantic feelings toward the Israel of antiquity, the Israel of today was formulated, created and populated as a result of actions that took place in the UN in 1947/48. Much like it is within American leadership circles, many within Israel’s leadership ranks are nothing more than ungod-like natural born killers.

The Palestinian (Arab and Muslim Semitic people) were summarily evicted from their homelands and their homes, neighborhoods…., their homelands were turned over to the mixed European Jewish Diaspora who returned to Israel from European nations following WWII. When you hear Arabs and Muslims say that Israel does not have a right to exist, they base their opinions on the actions that were decided in the U.N. in 1947/48, having been pushed particularly by Great Britain, the USA and a few other nations. A nearly equal amount of nations abstained from the western backed insouciant injustice that took place in the United Nations in 1947/48.

The colonial powers also considered repatriating black Americans to Panama and the Jews to African Ghana at one time, and we are all aware of how the colonial powers sub-divided Canada. That Senator Obama has made it clear that he will continue politics as usual does not bode well for Israel’s neighboring countries, for Cuba, for Nicaragua, the DPRK…; and he has already confirmed my feelings that voting for him to be President of the USA would summarily result in repeating the mistakes of the past!

As some fair-minded Americans have recognized, America’s hegemonic policies around the world have been wrong in the past, and they are wrong today - even if they are supported by Christian ministers who have rejected the roadmap for peace in the M-E, e.g., Robertson, Hagee, the late Falwell, Parsley and about 300,000 other American ministers. These individuals have an agenda, and it has nothing to do with true biblical eschatology. More HERE

Black Blogger Still Not Feeling DNC Segregation of State Blogger Pool

Yes, I'm a blogger who will be going to the Democratic National Convention. I sure won't be in the Jim Crow segregated state blogger section. You see the DNC don't like black people in that pool.

I guess I better read up on my old books from back in the day. Well, maybe not. But there is a great Handbook for bloggers and cyber-dissidents that some bloggers may find interresting. Candidly I like this whole idea of a Handbook for bloggers and cyber-dissidents.

The creators of the handbook are so right-on when they say, "Blogs get people excited."

That is kind of the purpose of my blog, to get people excited about politics. I also like to point out when things are great and when things are wrong. Candidly, I must say the Democratic National Convention is just wrong for not having a "color diversity program" when it comes to intergrating the lilly white state blogger pool.

Yes, it's true that blogs can also disturb and worry some people. I'm sure my blog has done that on a number of occassions (Smile), including the DNC. The DNC and its staff should be disturbed, and be asked to address and develop corrective action. As I said recently, so you think the DNC is the only group or individual practicing Jim Crow by excluding blacks? Check out the debate between two film icon's Spike Lee and Clinton Eastwood. Clint Eastwood: Spike Lee Should "Shut His Face", Lee Responds, "We're Not On A Plantation"

I guess that is what the DNC would like black bloggers to do. Shut Our Face!

Like the group Reporters Without Borders, I also see blogs as the vanguard of a new information revolution. Because it allows and encourages ordinary people to speak up. Yes, they’re tremendous tools of freedom of expression.

You know Reporters Without Borders are so right when they say, Bloggers are often the only real journalists in countries where the mainstream media is censored or under pressure. Only they provide independent news, at the risk of displeasing the government and sometimes courting arrest.

Check this out, Reporters Without Borders has produced a handbook to help bloggers, with handy tips and technical advice on how to to remain anonymous and to get round censorship, by choosing the most suitable method for each situation. It also explains how to set up and make the most of a blog, to publicise it (getting it picked up efficiently by search-engines) and to establish its credibility through observing basic ethical and journalistic principles. (OK I like the idea but I'm not sure I'll abide by Journalistic Principles). So check it out, the Hanbook is called the Handbook for bloggers and cyber-dissidents

John McCain - Stealing Black Music

John McCain, has been using Chuck Berry's hit "Johnny B. Goode" as an early campaign theme. I wonder if he was paying Chuck Berry for it's use?

I guess John McCain will have to shut it down, you see, Chuck Berry is supporting Barack Obama.

As reported by Fernanda Ezabella for Reuters - Republican candidate John McCain may have used his song in the U.S. presidential campaign, but veteran rock 'n' roller Chuck Berry has no doubt whom he wants to see in the White House next year. "America has finally come to this point where you can pick a man of color and that not be a drawback," the legendary 81-year-old guitarist said of Barack Obama, who clinched the Democratic presidential nomination last week and would become the country's first black president if he wins in November.

"It's no question, myself being a man of color ... I mean, you have to feel good about it," Berry, himself a black pioneer in the 1950s music scene, told Reuters by phone from New York ahead of a Brazil tour that starts next week. "Definitely a proud and successful moment for all the people of this country, not just black people, but Americans in general."

McCain, now preparing to take on Obama in the November presidential election, used Berry's hit "Johnny B. Goode" as an early campaign theme, although he has since switched to Abba's "Take a Chance On Me."

"Johnny B. Goode" turned 50 in January and topped the list of the 100 greatest guitar songs of all time that Rolling Stone magazine published this month.

Hillary Clinton Did She Really Concede? Or is she just running for The vice presidency

You ever wonder how Bill and Hillary lost the black vote and probably the presidency. Check out the article How Bill and Hill lost Black America.

As Dianne Abbott noted in her article, "Black voters who began the race overwhelmingly in support of Hillary Clinton are now nine to one against her. Her refusal to concede the race gracefully to Obama, even when it was all over, irritated her most loyal remaining black supporters like Charlie Rangel, her fellow congressman from New York."

Now, I and many others wonder if she really conceded ? Or is she just running for The Vice Presidency.

Black Bloggers and Spike Lee have something In common

So you think the DNC is the only group or individual practicing Jim Crow by excluding blacks? Check out the debate between two film icon's Spike Lee and Clinton Eastwood. Clint Eastwood: Spike Lee Should "Shut His Face", Lee Responds, "We're Not On A Plantation"

According to The Huffington Post, Spike Lee told ABCNEWS.com about Clint Eastwood. "He's a great director. He makes his films, I make my films. The thing about it though, I didn't personally attack him. And a comment like 'a guy like that should shut his face' -- come on Clint, come on. He sounds like an angry old man right there." "If he wishes, I could assemble African-American men who fought at Iwo Jima and I'd like him to tell these guys that what they did was insignificant and they did not exist," he said. "I'm not making this up. I know history. I'm a student of history. And I know the history of Hollywood and its omission of the one million African-American men and women who contributed to World War II."

"Not everything was John Wayne, baby..."

"I never said he should show one of the other guys holding up the flag as black. I said that African-Americans played a significant part in Iwo Jima," he said. "For him to insinuate that I'm rewriting history and have one of the four guys with the flag be black ... no one said that. It's just that there's not one black in either film. And because I know my history, that's why I made that observation."

Welcome to the club Spike Lee, your fighting against the exclusion of blacks in the film industry, as we in the black blogging community fight the exclusion of Black bloggers in the DNC state bloggers pool. It's really a damn shame that we have to fight these battles. It's equally as disappointing that the DNC and many bloggers seem to be thinking like Clint Eastwood. they just don't get it, and suggest that bloggers like Francis L. Holland, BlackPerspective.Net, and this blogger, shut our collective face. So Spike Lee, fight on and speak out, just like we do.
